About
A native port of wipEout Rewrite, the open-source re-implementation of the 1995 PSX classic, for Meta Quest and PICO. Races are rendered in stereo 3D with head tracking on top of the game camera, the HUD floats in front of you, and the intro, title and menus play on a large virtual screen.
The cockpit view (Y) puts you right in the ship.
PICO support is brand new and not tested on PICO hardware yet: reports are very welcome.

Installation
- Enable developer mode on your Quest.
- Download the APK below.
- Sideload it with SideQuest or
adb install -r <file>.apk. - Launch it from Library → Unknown Sources.
After installing, copy the game data with android/push_data.sh (see the notes above) before the first start. SideQuest is a Quest tool, so on PICO install with adb install -r (or your usual sideloader) and launch it from your library.
Good to know
- The game data is not included. Prepare a
wipeout/folder as described in the README, put it into a checkout of the repo and runandroid/push_data.shwith the headset connected. The game unpacks it on its next start. - Music is optional: it's read from
wipeout/music/trackNN.qoain QOA format. - Download the APK for your headset:
-quest.apkfor Meta Quest,-pico.apkfor PICO. - PICO needs PICO OS 5.9.0 or newer: only from that version does the PICO runtime work with the generic Khronos OpenXR loader the port uses.
- Known issues: opening the system menu during a race doesn't pause the game; a few menu models that only exist in the PC version are skipped.
